Operational Excellence: Micro-credential Program

This 15-hr micro-credential utilizes the experience of Future State Engineering’s Max Krug to show you how operational excellence is achieved. For over two decades, Max’s approach has been proven to work with a wide range of organizations.

In this short 10-hr micro-credential, learners will explore the "PDCA" process for continuous improvement and problem-solving processes within an organization. PDCA stands for "Plan, Do, Check, and Act" and learners will discover how to apply this process to a specific problem that they may be experiencing within their own organizations. Students will apply the PDCA process by recognizing the sources of variation and the techniques to reduce these variations.

In this short 4-hr micro-credential, learners will explore operational excellence, management systems, and the need for effective decision-making. Learners will identify that achieving operational excellence requires focus on both customer relationships and the organizational changes that need to be changed. Learners will explore various management systems that are available to support the goal of achieving operational excellence, as well as recognize the necessary conditions required to improve the organizational culture within an organization. Learners will discover change management decisions and effective decision-making capabilities and determine the differences between accountability and responsibility as a leader within an organization. Lastly, learners will explore the importance of growth and sustainability within an organization.
