This certificate represents successful completion of the Simio University course, Learning Simio Fundamentals (LS1000). Learning Simio Fundamentals is ideal for users from novice to experienced: whether as a user new to simulation, a refresher for someone who has not used Simio recently, or anything in between. In LS1000, learners are taught about the fundamentals of simulation and Simio. This course includes 14 modules to help get learners started on their Simio journey.
- Introduction to Simulation
- Introduction to Simio
- Introduction to Animation
- Simio Modeling Framework
- Simio Standard Library Fixed Objects
- Balking and Reneging
- Task Sequences
- Controlling Movement
- Material Handling
- Working with Model Data
- Process Logic
- Debugging Tools and Techniques
- Optimizing with OptQuest
- Building Custom Object Definitions
These 14 modules provide a foundation on which advanced Simio users will build their knowledge and skills. The course provides structured workshops, during which learners will be able to apply and check their proficiency in topics. Learners who have successfully completed this course should be able to discuss the applicability of simulation; build fundamental Simio models; apply their newfound knowledge and skills to their work; and feel capable continuing their Simio learning through both structured opportunities and self-led discovery.
