The ASQ® (Lean) Six Sigma Black Belt is the Project Manager in a Six Sigma organisation. She or he is responsible for creating, designing and running Six Sigma projects and directly reports to top management.

The ASQ®️ (Lean) Six Sigma Champion is the sponsor of a Six Sigma Project. She or heallocates the budget and ressources for a Six Sigma Project. Also is she or he part of senior management and is in very close communication with the ASQ®️ Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

The ASQ® (Lean) Six Sigma Master Black Belt is the highest executive role in a Six Sigma Company regarding Operational and Business Excellence. She or he is significantly involved and is accountable for the selection of Six Sigma Projects. The ASQ®️ (Lean) Six Sigma Yellow Belt is informed about the basic tools in (Lean) Six Sigma. She or he is able to work with ASQ®️ Six Sigma Green Belts and knows about the structure of a Six Sigma Project as well as a Six Sigma Company.

Earners of this badge meet the requirements to take the certification exam to become Project Management Professional. The title PMP® is awarded by the Project Management Institute.
