Respecting Traditional Forest-Related Knowledge

This course is designed for individuals who work with Indigenous Peoples, or who would like to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous Communities in their professional roles in the forest sector. Both Indigenous and scientific knowledge are required to achieve sustainable forest management. Meaningful integration of the two requires continuous engagement and collaboration with Indigenous partners. This course explores the principles of ownership, control, access, and possession (OCAP) and related considerations when navigating the use and integration of traditional forest-related knowledge into your work.
