Investor Forum 2020 Audience Award Winner - Day 2
Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires massive technological changes in multiple areas such as energy, new materials, bioeconomy, construction, agriculture and others.
The chemical sector is a key contributor to these changes and is capable of producing an innovation pipeline that can transform energy production and storage, insulation materials, environmentally friendly food production and more.
The Investor Forum 2020 brought together founders, investors, scientists as well as decision-makers from science, industry, and politics to explore crucial questions, such as how can sustainable chemistry support innovations in achieving the SDGs? What are the proper financial mechanisms that support this emerging innovation pipeline?
What is the role of science, industry and innovation infrastructure to support this vital process?
The panel discussions was matched by pitching sessions and innovation showcases of cutting-edge entrepreneurs.
On each day, the audience was invited to vote for the “best pitch of the day”, and, accordingly, the following three Audience Award Winners were selected: “KBCols” Day 1, “Primitives” for Day 2, and “Ecoact Tanzania” for Day 3. The female-led start-up “Primitives” from the US is pioneering a new paradigm for reducing plastic pollution – by engineering plastics with algae and other bio-based feedstocks. By harnessing nature’s embedded intelligence, they are creating new environmentally sustainable materials with advanced sensing, display, and biodegradation properties.
Congratulations!!!
