Climate Change Adaptation
In this 5-hr online course, learners will explore various case studies to understand some of the adaptation measures and solutions that can be used to help build climate resiliency at the local and regional level (e.g. municipalities, conservation authorities, forest management).
Skills / Knowledge
- Discuss the basics of climate change, including what it is and the main man-made and natural causes of climate change.
- Summarize sector-based climate change impacts including forestry, agriculture, human health, natural systems and the economy.
- Describe the key concepts of climate change adaptation, resiliency and mitigation
- Identify, through case studies, various adaptation solutions and actions that can help strengthen climate resiliency at the local and regional level
