The course will train participants to plan and conduct cognitive interviews, revealing more accurate and reliable evidence and information. The course is equal parts expert instruction and practical application, drawing from ATIXA’s stable of top-tier practitioners and providing ample opportunities for participants to hone their skills. Participants will benefit from direct interaction and observation with the instructors, as well as mock interviews with co-participants and strategic implementation simulations.

Investigator One: Foundations is our most basic training offering for civil rights investigators, deputies, and Title IX Coordinators looking to acquire the fundamental skills necessary to conduct investigations of sexual misconduct in schools and colleges. This training meets the required training mandates of Title IX and VAWA Section 304 for participants, whether you are a full-time investigator or have investigation responsibilities on top of other duties.

This training is clinical in nature, focusing on your ability to deploy advanced civil rights investigation techniques with the comfort and excellence of a skilled professional. Working in teams and groups, investigators will hone all of the key techniques of investigation by working with difficult witnesses, lawyers, and cases with hidden smoking guns. This training meets the required training mandates of Title IX and VAWA Section 304 for participants, whether you are a full-time investigator or have investigation responsibilities on top of other duties.

Build on your skillset with more nuanced techniques and topical exploration. This training builds strong skills with frequent exercises and case studies that allow for high levels of interaction, analysis, and the application of various civil rights investigation techniques.
