Program Description Xavier Leadership Center's Project Management Certificate Program is built on the content and processes found in the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition.  This highly interactive program develops the essential skills and real-world practices required for project managers to be successful, and deliver projects on time and on budget according to specifications. Credentials Badge holder has attended this six-day program which included the following content and activities: Module I: Understanding the Project Process Objectives and understand how to use the processes in your project: Define a project Project Organization Identify risks associated with projects The roles and responsibilities of the project manager in the project management process Define and understand a project’s expected deliverables Define quality The importance of scope and charters to project success Module II: Project Planning and Scheduling Objectives: Setting up and using a budget breakdown system Steps to successful activity-based scheduling Cover cost contingencies Create a milestone schedule Estimate required resources using three different techniques Staff up and staff down resources during a project Module III: Project Execution and Control Objectives: Manage changing requirements Methods used to track project progress Effectively update the project plan The different aspects of project reporting Define “scope creep” Calculate earned value and understanding what the data is telling you The role of the Project Manager during project execution Requirements Complete in-program workshops to practice learnings Receive a satisfactory grade on three facilitator evaluated post-module assignments, and apply the in-class concepts and learnings to a real-life project
