The success of a company is largely determined by the extent to which its employees understand and manage quality in their daily activities, and this is what the Quality Management System (QMS) is based on, and is defined as a formal system that documents processes, procedures and responsibilities to achieve quality policies and objectives.

The main objective of the system is to provide the processes that must be followed to consistently provide quality products or services. In short, a quality management system helps a company meet its regulatory and customer requirements, and make continuous improvements to its operations.
