Skilling America is a professional development initiative for Navigators to uniformly guide and unlock access to better jobs and mobility for their clients. Skilling America delivers valid and reliable learning and credentials, tools, and best practices in Navigation. Through the platform, users can develop the necessary competencies to lead efforts and to follow practice through to success for their own growth and development, the clients they serve, students and working learners, and communities. The Career Coaching Certificate is awarded to individuals after successful completion of the Skilling America Career Coaching course and end of course challenge. Course competencies include: 1. Establishing and sustaining a productive career coaching relationship. 2. Demonstrating effective interpersonal communication skills. 3. Assisting clients in identifying goals, skills, needs, and career interests using competency-based tools. 4. Identifying employer needs, requirements and expectations using competency-based labor market information. 5. Helping clients successfully navigate the job application and interview process.
