What it takes to earn QAFP certification:
1. Complete an FP Canada-approved Core Curriculum program.
2. Complete the Introduction to Professional Ethics course.
3. Pass the QAFP examination.
4. Complete one year of qualifying work experience.
5. Commit to abide by a code of ethics, practice standards and the rules and regulations of FP Canada.
What it takes to maintain QAFP certification:
1. Complete the QAFP Professional Education Program or CFP Professional Education Program.
2. Complete annual re-certification requirements, including 12 hours of continuing education each year.
