Student Wellbeing and Mental Health

By completing Student Wellbeing and Mental Health Module, the student developed an introductory knowledge of mental health and wellbeing and the factors that impact on wellbeing, particularly as they relate to the university students’ experience. They engaged in learning provided by professional and academic staff, industry experts and peers with lived experience to gain mental health literacy and mental health service literacy. The knowledge and skills gained through engaging with the learning content, participating in self-reflection and completing quizzes throughout this learning module supports a holistic understanding of mental health and wellbeing and fosters development of students’ ability to advocate for and support community (university, home, and future work) wellbeing. LEARNING EFFORT: 10 hours MODE OF DELIVERY: Self-directed online learning LEARNING OUTCOMES: Participants should be able to 1. Demonstrate an understanding of both mental health and wellbeing. 2. Identify and explain the similarities and differences between mental health and wellbeing. 3. Recognise and articulate the most important elements of one's own mental health and wellbeing. 4. Discuss the influences, internal and external, on an individual's mental health and wellbeing. 5. Identify and implement strategies to support individual and community mental health and wellbeing. 6. Identify services and programs that assist individuals and the community in maintaining strong, positive mental health and wellbeing. To earn this digital credential, the student has completed the following elements: 1. Engaged in 10 hours of self-directed on-line learning 2. Completed quizzes and reflections reinforcing learning
