Becoming a Guide is the beginning of a sustained pathway to introducing change to organisations. The six-week introductory course the methods required to maintain clarity and alignment. The skills taught to remote:af Guides enable them to navigate the nuances of human behaviours in remote and hybrid working with all types of teams. The remote:af Guides program offers continued learning and development opportunities for Guides to maintain their expertise in remote and hybrid working.
R:AF Guides are change agents that empower organisations to shift to remote and hybrid working sustainably. The R:AF Guides lead the remote:af community by contributing feedback to framework and supporting the development of community patterns. If you are a consultant, independent contractor, impassioned remote work advocate or organisational coach, then becoming a R:AF Guide is for you.
Over a 6 week immersive, remote:af Guide's learn to;
- Identify and categorise teams base on their work and constraints
- Launch teams to be effective in remote, hybrid or on premise contexts
- Align and improve groups of teams that work towards shared goals at a department or portfolio level
- Build leadership teams focused on interventions that improve team performance
- Effectively plan strategic initiatives within the constraints of modern business
- Design smooth handoffs between highly dependent teams
- Develop virtual information centres that enable transparency
- Hold difficult conversations and provide constructive feedback in a remote setting
