Earners of the NIST Privacy Framework Foundation certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the NIST Privacy Framework. This certification confirms that the professional has the knowledge to establish or improve a Privacy Program using the NIST Privacy Framework. The exam covers topics such as Key Terms and definitions, the Privacy Framework components (Core, Profiles, and Implementation Tiers), Cybersecurity and Privacy Risk Management, Privacy Risk Assessment, the Privacy Framework Core Structure (Functions, Categories, and Subcategories), the five Privacy Framework Functions (Identify-P, Govern-P, Control-P, Communicate-P, and Protect-P), Profiles, Implementation Tiers, Mapping to Informative References, Accountability, Establishing or Improving a Privacy Program (Ready, Set, and Go), Applying to the System Development Life Cycle, Using within the Data Processing Ecosystem, and Informing Buying Decisions. Earning criteria: To earn the NIST Privacy Framework Foundation certification candidates must successfully pass the ITC-066: NIST Privacy Framework Foundation exam - Foundational level. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam. The ITC-066: NIST Privacy Framework Foundation exam is a closed-book and remotely proctored exam. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in Data Privacy before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
