Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Earners of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) Foundation or Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Earning criteria: To earn the Data Protection Officer (DPO) certification candidates must successfully pass the following exams: ITC-074: Information Security Management Foundation (ISO/IEC 27001:2022), ITC-075: Information Security Management Foundation Bridge (ISO/IEC 27001:2022), or ITC-006: Information Security Management Foundation (ISO/IEC 27001) certification exam - Foundation level ITC-090: Information Security Risk Management Foundation (ISO/IEC 27005:2022), ITC-091: Information Security Risk Management Foundation Bridge (ISO/IEC 27005:2022), or ITC-012: Information Security Risk Management Foundation (ISO/IEC 27005) certification exam - Foundational level ITC-038: GDPR Foundation certification - Foundational level ITC-041: PIPEDA Foundation or ITC-034: LGPD Foundation certification - Foundational level A score of 70% or higher is required to pass each exam. All 4 exams are closed-book and remotely proctored. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in Data Protection before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
