Exploring the space of Creativity and Supervision

Exploring the space of Creativity and Supervision Creativity is at the heart of the supervisory relationship. In a very playful and creative process, this interactive session invites us to explore what is creativity, where creativity come from, who is doing the creating, who is being the creator? And to experience these questions rather than to answer them! How? Well, we’re going to play with clay. Literally. With insights from pottery, meditation, poetry and old teachings on pots, we will actively create while reflecting on creativity, our relationship with getting things right, and the space we create in supervision. Host: Will Medd Will is a CSA Faculty Member, Supervisor, Coach and Meditation teacher. He stumbled across pottery 3-4 years ago while living in Cohousing Community that had a pottery studio. Following a challenge from a friend to have a go on a wheel, he fell in love with it - the tactual experience, the uncertainty, the mess, the not quite knowing, and the always imperfect ‘wabi sabi’ nature of working with clay. Pottery unleashed a creativity that had been squashed. And so now he continues to throw experimentally, often badly, while also developing ‘rock pots’ (he’ll explain more in the session). This session is playful while also asking some fundamental questions about who we are when we are creating.
