This course is designed to develop the teaching skills of Post Docs. It focuses on the development of knowledge, skills, and understanding in the key aspects of teaching and learning. The course supports students to explore and apply new ideas in their own context, integrate new approaches in their own teaching practice, and demonstrate their professional development as reflective practitioners.
Each module provides at least five hours of guided learning opportunities. Students should integrate as much preparation time as possible into their day-to-day practice. They should allow time for background reading and discussion with their peers, to enrich their microteaching practice. During each stage of the course, students explore a number of key questions and engage in a series of activities closely related to their everyday professional work.
