Program Description Xavier Leadership Center's Finance for Non‐Financial Managers/Professionals program covers the financial language of business so that badge holders can speak with colleagues using the correct financial terms and will have a foundational knowledge of how the business operates. The program explores the main financial statements, key performance metrics, how to interpret them and why they are important. Credentials Badge holder has attended this one-day program which included the following content and activities: Reviewed the main financial management decisions a Chief Financial Officer makes including Working Capital Management, Capital Budgeting and Capital Structure Discussed the components of the financial statements used measure a company’s condition and performance including: Balance sheet Income statement Statement of retained earnings Statement of cash flows Examined the cash flow generated during an operating cycle and identified potential areas of concern that should be monitored Evaluated a company’s performance using common-size financial statements, ratio analysis, and industry benchmarks Described the key ratios for each dimension of the company including: Current ratio, quick ratio (Short-term solvency) Total debt ratio, debt/equity ratio, equity multiplier (Long-term solvency) Total asset turnover, inventory turnover (Asset efficiency ratios) Profit margin, return on assets, return on equity (Profitability ratios) Earnings per share, P/E ratio (Market value ratios)
