Earners of the IT Governance Foundation (ISO/IEC 38500) certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the ISO/IEC 38500 standard. This certification confirms that the professional has the knowledge about the general principles of good governance of IT and the practices required to implement the principles in accordance with the ISO 38500 standard. The exam covers topics such as key Terms and Definitions, Benefits of Good Governance of IT, Principles of Good Governance of IT (Responsibility, Strategy, Acquisition, Performance, Conformance and Human Behavior), Model for Good Governance of IT (Evaluate-Direct- Monitor), Processes and Practices. Earning criteria: To earn the IT Governance Foundation certification candidates must successfully pass the ITC-009: IT Governance Foundation exam - Foundational level. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam. The ITC-009: IT Governance Foundation exam is a closed-book and remotely proctored exam. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in IT Governance before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
