Earners of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework Foundation certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. This certification confirms that the professional has the knowledge to establish or improve a Cybersecurity Program in accordance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. The exam covers topics such as Key Terms and definitions, the Framework Core, the Framework Implementation Tiers, and the Framework Profiles, Risk Management and the Cybersecurity Framework, Framework Core Structure (Functions, Categories, Subcategories, and Informative References), The five Framework Core Functions (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover), Framework Implementation Tiers (Tier 1: Partial, Tier 2: Risk Informed, Tier 3: Repeatable and, Tier 4: Adaptive), Framework Profile, Coordination of Framework Implementation, Establishing or Improving a Cybersecurity Program, Communicating Cybersecurity Requirements with Stakeholders, and Self-Assessing Cybersecurity Risk with the Framework. Earning criteria: To earn the NIST Cybersecurity Framework Foundation certification candidates must successfully pass the ITC-065: NIST Cybersecurity Framework Foundation exam - Foundational level. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam. The ITC-065: NIST Cybersecurity Framework Foundation exam is a closed-book and remotely proctored exam. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in Cybersecurity before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
