VBHC Implementation Course

The recipient of this certificate has completed CAPADEV’s intensive course on Value-Based Healthcare Implementation, in line with the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) [https://www.ichom.org] Standard Sets for effective VBHC implementation. CAPADEV is a global learning and implementation licensed partner of ICHOM. The aim of the course is to help participants develop an in-depth understanding and undertake the planning for the implementation of VBHC including the step-by-step process for outcomes measurement, data collection, and IT requirements for integration. The blended learning course includes pre-reading material; self-paced e-learning modules; live instructor-led sessions, with interactive discussions, exercises, case studies, implementation workbook completed by the participants, and ICHOM standard sets and PROMs reviews; and implementation planning preparation for subsequent application in the participants' own institutions. The following competencies were emphasized during the course: • Understand what Value-based Healthcare (VBHC) is, and why it is a key driving force in addressing the biggest challenges facing healthcare today across countries and health systems • Describe the key building blocks that constitute VBHC, including measurements, costings, and payment models, and who the key stakeholders are • Comprehend and apply the fundamental measurements of VBHC, represented in the ICHOM Standard Sets, the global standards for measuring value, and how to effectively implement them • Recognize how to manage the end-to-end cycle of data measurements using effective, valid, and compliant data collection, storage, reporting, and analysis approaches so that data can help drive improvements towards VBHC • Prepare for the implementation project by developing a clear understanding of the project scope and objectives, project plan, resource requirements, potential risks and mitigation measures in line with best practices of project management to ensure success The certificate is issued upon the participant’s successful completion of all key course requirements: 1. Completing the preparatory e-learning modules and exercises 2. Attending and actively participating in the expert-led lectures and discussion sessions 3. Completing a summative assessment at the end of the course
