Earners of the Risk Management Foundation (ISO 31000) certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the ISO 31000 standard. This certification confirms that the professional has the knowledge on how to use the principles of effective and efficient risk management in the way risk is managed, develop a plan for integrating risk into an organization’s existing arrangements, apply the risk management process to identify, analyze, evaluate, and where required, to treat risk, communicate and consult with stakeholders, monitor and review the risk management plan and process; and continually improve based on context and lessons learned in accordance with the ISO 31000 standard. The exam covers topics such as key Terms and Definitions, Principles of Risk Management, Framework (Leadership and commitment, Integration, Design, Implementation, Evaluation, and Improvement), Process (Communication and consultation, Scope, context and criteria, Risk Assessment and Risk Treatment). Earning criteria: To earn the Risk Management Foundation (ISO 31000) certification candidates must successfully pass the ITC-053: Risk Management Foundation (ISO 31000) exam - Foundational level. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam. The ITC-053: Risk Management Foundation (ISO 31000) exam is a closed-book and remotely proctored exam. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in Risk Management before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
