This training module is part of efforts by the Association of Banks in Jordan to introduce green finance as a concept to the national banking sector. In partnership with the GIZ-implemented “Green Action in Enterprises” (GAIN) Project, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and in cooperation with Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, ABJ developed a toolkit of training courses to jumpstart the green finance sector in Jordan.

Industrial clients understand that they need to invest in green processes to reduce environmental impact, there is no longer any choice for most industries and significant investments are needed to make the transformation to the green economy. Green Finance for the Industrial Sector is technical training for Relationship Managers and sales staff working with industrial clients to promote and provide access to green finance. This 2-day training provides essential understanding of how to identify opportunities in green finance and build a successful green lending portfolio for the bank.
