WCS2 Scholarship Winner

The Women CyberSecurity Society Scholarship is awarded to women and underrepresented individuals who demonstrate a need for extra support from our community. The scholarship recipient receives access to all our services which include specialized mentoring and monitoring for a one-year term. As part of their scholarship program, the recipients are granted access to two 24/7 online learning platforms and private member pages of the Women CyberSecurity Society (WCS2) website. The scholarship winners have opportunity to build technical hands-on skills across all domains within cybersecurity and gain confidence to eliminate feelings of 'Imposter syndrome. They learn about cloud security, OSINT, malware, ransomware, secure web application development, penetration testing/ethical hacking, risk management, network security, incident response, digital forensics, security operations, threat hunting and much more. Access to the MITRE ATTACK framework, comprehensive glossary and knowledgebase assists each student to advance their careers, gain experience, increase confidence and boost enjoyment within the field of cybersecurity. Career satisfaction leads to retention within the industry especially for marginalized groups.
