Measuring Impact: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

Having impactful projects requires planning, adaptation, and the ability to tell the story of what happened. In this elective, you will learn practical information about using Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning or MEL, for adaptive management within your own programs and projects. You will learn to define success for your projects and measure progress towards that success by crafting specific, measurable, appropriate, and tangible indicators. The course will look at best practices in data collection, management, and analysis and help you to identify what kinds of data will be most useful for your own purposes. From learning the foundations of MEL, to creating a theory of change and logic model, designing indicators, you will be prepared to communicate your findings to external stakeholders.
