Learners attended a webinar to introduce them to the roles and responsibilities of the Online Accessibility Center (OAC), best practices in working with students who have accommodations, and methods for fostering an accessible and inclusive learning environment. Learners will also explore how to ensure that instructor developed content is accessible and inclusive. The awarding of this badge signifies that learners have a foundational understanding of: 1) Laws and regulations that apply to educational accommodations (e.g., Americans with Disabilities Act) and their responsibilities with regard to student accommodation; 2) How to collaborate with the OAC to ensure student success including the definition of reasonable accommodations, definition of alternative formats, and when video and audio captioning are utilized; 3) Best practices for fostering an accessible and inclusive learning environment including guidelines for color, contrast, and font, captioning, and hyperlinks. Criteria of Achievement: Learners were assessed by completing a 5 question multiple-choice quiz and must answer 4 out of 5 questions correctly to be awarded this badge.
