Data Visualization

This course on data visualization is a part of the UBC Key Capabilities in Data Science Certificate Program. Students learn about effective data visualizations and how to perform exploratory data analysis using Altair in Python. Recipients of this credential are able to perform the following. 1. Use the Altair grammar of graphics to create data visualizations. 2. Select an appropriate visualization for the data. 3. Perform exploratory data analysis on a dataset. 4. Effectively communicate findings with figures. 5. Interpret data visualizations to answer questions and formulate follow-up questions.
