This course is critical to all key leaders in organizations that have direct contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) or serve as a subcontractor for a company that has an existing contract with the agency in meeting their new cybersecurity requirements. Contractors and their subcontractors who are not in compliance with the NIST 800-171r2 guidelines or not prepared to meet the requirements of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) when it becomes effective, will no longer be able to conduct business with the DoD.
In this course, students will be provided with a foundation to assist their company or any other to establish a strong cybersecurity program. Students will be provided with guidance on how best to meet the new DoD cybersecurity requirements, learn how to assess their company's operations for proper cybersecurity hygiene (gap analysis), receive an introduction to the current requirements of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and begin the development of a DoD-compliant System Security Plan for their organization.
