Earners of the Data Privacy Foundation (ISO/IEC 29100) certification have demonstrated foundational knowledge of the ISO/IEC 29100 standard. This certification confirms that the professional has the needed knowledge to define privacy safeguarding requirements related to PII within an ICT environment by specifying a common privacy terminology, defining the actors and their roles in processing PII, describing privacy safeguarding requirements, and referencing known privacy principles in accordance with the ISO/IEC 29100 standard. The exam covers topics such as privacy terms and definitions, terminology, elements of the privacy framework, actors and roles (controllers and processors), privacy safeguarding requirements, privacy policies, privacy controls, and privacy principles for information technology (consent, purpose legitimacy, collection limitation, data minimization, use, retention and disclosure, accuracy, openness, transparency, accountability, information security, and privacy compliance). Earning criteria: To earn the Data Privacy Foundation (ISO/IEC 29100) certification candidates must successfully pass the ITC-046: Data Privacy Foundation (ISO/IEC 29100) exam - Foundational level. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam. The ITC-046: Data Privacy Foundation (ISO/IEC 29100) exam is a closed-book and remotely proctored exam. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least 6 months of work experience in Data Privacy before sitting for the exam. This certification is considered good-for-life and does not expire.
